Title: S-Meter / Squelch
Post by: tuvok on 03 Jan 2026, 20:26
is this possible to calibrate the s-meter and the Squelch?

- the squelch will open all the time

- Many users of my SDR say that the S-meter is not working properly, and they ask if it is possible to reinstall the S1-9+50 system as a graphic.

No. Not at the moment or you need to start coding yourself.

Did you miss the point that this is a BETA-release and it has many bugs.

It's a very early beta. Short answer, no. There are more problems to fix then a s-meter.

Phantom has all, but can't do what Nova can. Did you know that just a week ago, we where in Alpha-demo state?

Many changes are going to happen de next weeks/months...be patient...

It will not be 'release' state until June or so.

Beware, Nova is a complete RE-WRITE, it's not Phantom.

Plans for Nova a BIG real BIG. But it's moving step by step.

You can alter the s-meter in dB's, for now that is all there is.

Steven has his own pace of doing things. It will get there....I do not know when.

Bas, calm down :) ...
I'm just writing what strikes me or others ... it's already working very well and a few people should test it and see ... and if you don't write anything, you can't do anything else ... or better

Steven has implemented a squelch [enable / disable] for the configs in the next release.
